Publisher's Summary

This book is made up of 33 chapters. Each chapter is a different basketball question that needs to be answered. Some of them are obviously crucial (example: what's the most important NBA championship?) and some of them are secretly crucial (example: was Kobe Bryant a dork?).

But all of them are approached in ways that (I hope you think) are smart and fun and nuanced. Also, you should know ahead of time that some of the pieces go a bit sideways sometimes, like the chapter that ends up just being the script of an action movie, or the other chapter that's actually just a bunch of lists and nothing else. Basketball is fun. - Shea

Lots of profanities for a young basketball fan

Warning to parents/caregivers - I got this book for my 8 year old facts obsessed basketball fan and we could barely make it through the first chapter with the swearing and profanities. We are looking to return the book.

Shea knows his NBA

Shea is one of my favorite basketball writers and podcasters. Most disrespectful dunks of all time chapter is legit amazing. The narrator is good, but I’d prefer Shea doing it himself. He wouldnt pronounce Dan Majerle as Dan “Major-lee “haha

Fun if frivolous!

I am almost positive this should be read in tactile form. But the read is excellent. It is lite in depth but deep in details. I enjoyed it but wish Id just got it irl to sit on a table and flip through for comedic anecdotes and the wacky stats.

Great Book for anyone interested in the NBA

Very good read! I think you miss a bit without the illustrations however each chapter was fresh and new. My favorite 2 sections by far were 'Is Kobe a nerd' and 'best championships ranked'
