Quick Teaser, good but not enough!
Good book, good story getting some background on the story and history. Appreciated the details about developing his detective abilities, not just his physical capabilities. Still felt like a YA novel and not nearly long enough to satiate my Batman needs! Good but not great. wouldn't give less than 4 stars tho.

Good book to listen befor the movie
I think that it is a pretty good origins with the ridler, and I like that ridler is the main villain because not every bat man main villain has to be the kicker, I have not seen the movie but I think the book is going to help a lot to understand, especially about “DEX”.

Narrator was horrible and so was this book!
This is an insult to Batman fans and to the Batman movie! This is my second and last audio book narrated by Will Damon. He sounds like he is mocking women’s voices for the female characters and tries to say sound effects such as “bring bring” the phone rang… ridiculous and distracting. Very insulting to women. He pronounces foyer “foierrr”.
As for the actual book, the word “smear” was used 11 times in the last chapters. The writer seems to become lazy and repetitive. I’m glad this was a short book because I could barely stand to finish it!
Huge disappointment!

It's a very basic and generic story that adds nothing to Batman in general or the movie.

Batman For Kids
As a huge fan of the movie, I was entirely dissapointed by this book. Will Damron did a good job with narrating, but the writing itself was the letdown.
I would feel perfectly confident in giving this book to an eight year old. No one swears, there are a handful of safe "fights" including an old lady getting her purse stolen, and the primary focus seems to be a crush that Bruce has on a girl he barely speaks to. It screams of young adult and doesn't offer anything to the movie, except to say that Bruce and Edward unknowingly met a few times in the past, which just seems corny.
I was really hoping for more from a prequel to one of my favorite film adaptations of the Dark Knight. I'm left feeling confused as to why a young adult book would be the prequel to a film that opens with a visceral murder and includes things like strangling hookers to death and drug pedaling...?
Skip it.
