Narrator difficult to understand

I love Goffman and I got this book to use for school. It was very difficult to understand the ends of sentences as the narrator’s pitch and volume drops, and the way Goffman writes, the end of sentences are hugely important for their meaning. I now need to consult a paper copy to make sure I am clear on the ideas.
