It is 1941 and Britain is pressed on all sides. With Japan in the war and convoys being sunk by submarines and surface raiders the last bastion fighting Hitler is beleaguered. The Commandos are the only ones who can fight beyond the Atlantic Wall. Tom Harsker and his section are sent behind enemy lines to destroy gun emplacements and then rescue a captured Resistance leader. Then they are given the task of joining the Campbelltown Raid on St. Nazaire. There they find themselves in greater danger than ever before.

Series just gets better and better!

After listening to Books 1 and 2 of Griff Hosker's WW II Commando series; I could not wait for Book 3 to come out. So, I read the e-book version. Although, that book was enjoyable; I got the audible version as soon as It became available. With a great Narrator, the audible book is even better.
Our hero, Tom Harsker starts of as a Sargent in a crack team of Commandos that extricate his Team out of a variety of impossible missions behind enemy lines. In an earlier book, his team escapes in an enemy plane. There is another unbelievable escape in this audiobook that brings him to the attention of Lord Louis Mountbatten. Our hero's exceptional leadership skill are also becoming appreciated.
I can hardly wait for the audible version of Book 4 of this exciting series.
