Narrorator sounded bored.
The book is interesting, the narration sounds flat. You can tell the narrator had no interest in the book and just wanted to get through it.

The best book for anyone dealing with alcohol
Although this book is designed for "loved ones" impacted by people with alcohol use disorders, it's a must listen by both those struggling with alcohol use and those dealing with people who have issues. It provides clear steps for loves ones to take care of themselves, stop being enablers and work with the addicted person to assist in their recovery. It's based on clinical experience. Skim through the first chapters and you'll see the rest is filled with amazing information.

Unrealistic view of addiction
This book is about accepting and enabling and addict. About how an addict can cut back on drugs and still live a healthy lifestyle and have positive relationships. It claims that addicts will choose to just stop using if they feel love and connection with loved ones. That treatment is not necessary and that an addict can just start to prefer other activities and slowly stop wanting the drug once they feel validated. This sounds like it was written by and addict trying to justify their addictive behaviours.
