A standalone contemporary romantic suspense novel from the NYT best-selling author of the Titan Series.
"I can't shake the feeling that somebody's watching me."
One second life was normal, and the next for Ella Leighton, not so much. A social media maven who made her living saving sea turtles, the decision to join a reality TV show was a good one for the cause. But for her...the adjustment wasn't easy.
Her publicist used phrases like online personality. An overnight celebrity. Everyone explained that was why she couldn't shake the feeling. But none of their excuses could explain the letters. The pictures. And then her stalker crossed the line, triggering the demand for security.
Bishop O'Kane didn't expect to come face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend when Titan sent him on bodyguard duty. The woman he once loved, the same one he walked away from years ago, was now his responsibility. Opposites in every way, they couldn't be more different, but maybe they had never needed each other more.
With the FBI falling short in their investigation, the Titan team must rally around the woman with millions of followers, protecting her from her own as Bishop and Ella forge a path of second chances and forgiveness, unburying the past in order to survive.

📚E-BOOK📚& 🎧AUDIO 🎧
I have had Bishop’s Queen sitting in my library since 2016. Yes… TEN YEARS. 😂 I bought both the book and audiobook when it was released, and somehow I just kept pushing it back on my TBR. I was finally in the mood for a good romantic suspense, and I already knew I could trust Cristin Harber and the Titan series to give me one.
And honestly, I'm glad I finally picked it up!
Bishop and Ella fell in love when they were young, but after something tragic happened, their relationship fell apart and they went their separate ways. Years later, Ella’s life looks completely different. She’s become a public figure after appearing on reality TV to bring attention to her work saving sea turtles, but all that visibility has also attracted someone she definitely doesn't want watching her. The letters, pictures, and creepy feeling of being followed eventually become serious enough that she needs professional security.
And guess who ends up being her bodyguard? Bishop. 👀
Yep. The man she once loved and hasn't completely forgotten.
I really enjoyed the second-chance aspect of this one because there is a lot of unresolved history between Bishop and Ella. They don't simply fall back into each other's arms and pretend nothing happened. There are old wounds, regrets, misunderstandings and things they both need to work through. Add a stalker getting increasingly dangerous, the Titan team stepping in, and plenty of action, and this gave me exactly the romantic suspense I was looking for.
There were even a couple of emotional moments that got some tears out of me. 😭
Now, is this my favorite Titan book? No. Book 2 still owns that title. I read that one years ago and STILL think about it, so apparently nothing is knocking it off its throne anytime soon. 😂 But Bishop’s Queen was still a really solid addition to the series.
The audiobook is narrated by Jeffrey Kafer, and I enjoyed his performance. It's a single narration, but he does a great job carrying both the suspense and the emotional parts of the story.
After letting this sit untouched for ten years, I'm giving it a very solid 4 stars. If you enjoy second chances, bodyguard romance, romantic suspense, stalker storylines and protective heroes, this is definitely worth picking up.
And really… you can't go wrong with a Cristin Harber romantic suspense. ❤️
