About this listen
As the novel moves backward and forward in time, from Quinn's boyhood on Blackwood Farm to present-day New Orleans, from ancient Athens to 19th-century Naples, Quinn seeks out the legendary Vampire Lestat in the hope of freeing himself from the specter that draws him inexorably back to Sugar Devil Swamp and the explosive secrets it holds.
A story of youth and promise, of loss and the search for love, of secrets and destiny, Blackwood Farm is Anne Rice at her mesmerizing best.

"A completely fresh story, a gripping gothic yarn that revives the series." (Booklist)
"Using lush, voluptuous prose, Rice tells a complex and mesmerizing story." (Library Journal)

A Truly masterful narration
The story is compelling a true deeply southern Gothic tale. As usual and in particular with all of and rices older books, this one is perfectly written. But the storytelling let me tell you this narrator is a master at different voices. Each character has their own unique voice male or female it’s an incredibly well told story, a must listen for sure!

Greatest performance
This is probably the most sexual book vampire chronicles I have read so far. I fell in love with the main character Tarquin. David Pittu’s performance is truly inspiring! I especially enjoy he spoke as Aunt Queen!!!

Oh Mona..
Well about 3 quarters of the book is just filler for no real reason. Soo much about family members that simply have no reason or information regarding this story.. The only thing I can see is if there going to be a much larger part later on?
Oh Mona, how I've missed your vigor and enthusiasm for your Own Family... Easily the best part of the Mayfair Trilogy... Hope to hear much more from her.
