About this listen
Kit Colbana - half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades - has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.
So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters - especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.
Or maybe it's all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she's gotten in over her head. Or maybe it's because if she fails - she's dead.
If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she'll even live long to collect her fee....

Good book…but some of it made me a bit uncomfortable
Honestly not a bad story. I feel like the way the narrator read the book made the main character seem like a weak woman, kind of desperate. I don’t like how the male in the story called the woman he falls in love with a “ stubborn bitch” kind of seems like a narcissist gaslighting their partner.

It was okay
The dynamic between the main character and her love and trust started out weird. I got better as the book got along but I can’t I can’t just kept thinking about the weirdness and how it started. The main character is a bad ass but gets injured a lot and doesn’t have enoughOpportunity to fight

great lore not so great male lead (spoiler?)
I love the style of writing and there is some character development. the story is very good and gets you hooked. my only problem is that the male lead is a total douche bucket to her and she kinda just shrugs it off and is like oh ok all better. He nearly kills her and when he says he's sorry and that he thought she was more durable she just accepts that. I don't think an abused woman would be able to move past that. (spoiler) If you skip over the whole throat crushing incident, the book is really good.

Not bad actually although the narrator was odd
Was actually better than I expected. Wasn't as cheesy either as I expected. Good story and characters. I liked it. the intonation of the narrator was a bit odd though
