About this listen

They call her Blister. She's a hideously disfigured 23-year-old woman, living in a shed next to her father's house, hidden away from the world.

Jason Tray is a successful cartoonist, banished to his agent's lakeside cabin for a few days of mandatory rest and relaxation. One night, while hanging out with a couple of the locals at a dive bar, he takes them up on their offer to go "see Blister," having no idea what they're talking about.

He peeks through the window at the most nightmarish thing he's ever seen.

In the morning, he wakes up, hung over and regretful. He's better than this. Does he need to apologize?

Buckle-Up for this Wild Ride!

I have to say, I struggled at first with the narrator, Daniel Dorse but am I glad I stuck it out! This novel is mesmerizing and it pulled me into the MC's world within the first three chapters.
The narrator Mr. Dorse does a wonderful job of character voices and his timing and delivery is spot on! The story is well-written and flows wonderfully along with just enough twists to keep you on your toes. Character development is done nicely with all supporting characters adding to the whole and creating a very real world. I found myself laughing out loud in several places at the conversations between Blister and Jason (the MC), the light heartedness was very welcome.
I completely enjoyed this story.
