About this listen

Secret identities are hard to keep.

Sora finds this to be doubly true after meeting the struggling Burkhard Clan and the mischievous Ravi. The wind dragon has stolen his breath, and heart, away. Sora suspects he might have found his mate.

But his inability to be truthful with Ravi eats at Sora. When the Jaeggi attack, Sora can’t keep his secrets any longer. Not when Ravi is in the center of the war raging around them. He has to reveal who he really is. It’s the only way to be with Ravi and give the Burkhards the help they need.

Sora’s secret could tip the scales to save them all.

A fun and quirky Dragon Romance

This is a funny, sweet M/M romance between a mischievous dragon and a serious mage. The performance was great and I found it really enjoyable.

Excellent installment in the series.

Once upon a time, a blue wind dragon found his mage and they lived happily ever after but not until stuff happened first. lol

The is Ravi's story and the authors do a great job with it. Funny, heartwarming with lots of action to keep you invested in the story.

Joel is a wonderful narrator with only one careless mistake in the entire work. Sora suddenly develops blue wings near the end while riding a blue dragon. Yeah, nope. He mixed up the names of the dragon and rider. The only other issue was that occasionally, I had a bit of difficulty with the voices because it was hard to tell them apart. Still, good job Joel.

Most entertaining of the entire series.

I enjoyed this book. Ravi‘s character was like taking a new pup for a walk and their entire tush is shaking and tail is wagging and they are practically hopping, they’re looking at and sniffing everything because everything is so exciting. He was like an excitable puppy all the time.

I kept wondering, at what time do dragons mature? because he is over 500 years old and still he seems like a teenager that just wants to pull pranks and make everyone happy. With that said I will say that so far in the series, though I enjoyed book 1, this book was the most enjoyable to listen to. I don’t think it furthered the storyline but it was different than the others and veered from the outline that the authors seem to have for these books and that was refreshing.

Though I enjoyed how Nikki was introduced, knowing that her and Gunther will likely be the next and last story based on the end of this book, takes away my interest. This series is such that the romance is the main story with the jaeggi threat constantly looming but the interest for me was finding out about who the next mage was and what talent they were going to bring to the story, knowing ahead of time that Gunther is the last and knowing that Nikki is going to be the mage there’s no real intrigue and there’s nothing to entice me to use a credit on the next book.

Joel Leslie redeemed himself in this book, with the accents, compared to books 2-3 and it was quite enjoyable listening to him.
