Publisher's Summary
For Reyna Carpenter, giving up her body isn't a choice. It's survival. In a civilization laid to waste by poverty and desperation, Reyna accepts a high-paying position with the wealthy and hungry vampire elite. Her new job is as the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson. He's everything she expected from a vampire, except for one thing - he won't feed off her.
Reyna soon discovers that behind Beckham's brooding, wicked façade lies a unique and complex man. And that in a dark and divided world, she is more valuable than she ever would have believed.
For with each passing night, Reyna can't shake the sensation that it's Beckham who's afraid of her.

Agravating protagonist had trouble finishing
Ok love the concept of the story could use a few changes to the line but the one thing I hated was Rayna. OMG just eat her for me cause she is annoying and makes the story long. I understand asking questions but when you know your with the Apex predictor shut up and wait for later to get the info from the good guy. It's like you have a bear, you won't punch it to see how it reacts. Ppl are not like that. I do love Beckham well designed you can tell he is more complex then he shows and that there something he is keeping from Rayna. Properly balanced. But I do regret purchasing the book sorry

"Meh" It's okay
The character isn't relatable and is very ignorant. The story is very cliche and cheesy but still alright to read. I can't tell if it's just bad writing or maybe it's the way it's being read because it's not completely horrible but it's not good either. I have mixed feelings. Like I think I would read the rest of the series despite everything but feel that it's not worth the price. I think the plot is interesting just think the author could have done a better job with it

Edit… edit and then more edit
It is just so sad the notion that anyone can become a writer and how establishment in charge of publishing books pay almost no regards for paranormal romantic genre that they allowed such books to be published & distributed.
I agree with other reviewers that this (piece) has somewhat of a decent concept but OMG the writing and the way the MFC kept on going on & on about her thoughts and feelings; felt like reading the diary of a 7 ys old or an attempt of a teenager to write a story.
This piece needed a author who could actually write then an editor to obviously edit what has been written.
In it’s current state this piece lake both.

Awesome!
I spend a lot of time on the road commuting so fly through audio books pretty quickly. I’m so glad to have found another book serious that I really enjoy. If you enjoy books about romance and the supernatural, you will be sure to like this one! It’s a mix between beauty and the best, and 50 shades of grey.... but with vampires!
