About this listen
Few people survive the suffering that Kael Symes has experienced. Hot steel, demonic magic, and the loss of those he loved.
After escaping the horrors of Arkum Zul, Kael and his companions survive a terror-filled night on the ocean only to find themselves shipwrecked and stranded in the Wildlands. With forest tribals on the warpath and old enemies roaming the forest, Kael struggles to come to terms with what he is slowly becoming - a killer. A DeathWizard.
In the fight against the evil that threatens to consume him, Kael learns that the Dwarven Mountains far to the north may hide an ancient monolith that holds the answer to the corruption that flows in his veins.
But trekking across Talohna is a dangerous prospect. It is a world that holds its secrets close. The cost of uncovering them may very well be his soul and quite possibly his life.

Great books series
Discovered this hidden gem about a month ago and I have blown through both books in no time at all. Thoroughly enjoy the twist and turns, and the storylines keep you on your toes. Anxiously await the next in the series!!

Save yourself the money so FRUSTRATING
There’s nothing I can’t stand more then when a story uses stupidity and repetition for filler. I found this book frustrating to listen the main character just can’t be any more stupid and it’s frustrating to listen to. I found this book very frustrating there just was nothing original it was like each scene was just a repetition of the last “dumb character walk into room OH doesn’t see bad guy, he almost dies and the someone shows up from no where with some super item to save him. Just repeat that 4 times and you will be at the end. Then there is the Arch wizard who happens to be the dumbest wizard to ever walk any world. It just got so old l.... the first book is excellent and I really enjoyed it but with this book I think it couldn’t have ended soon enough. I hate to give bad reviews of book but it is what it is.
