dense

If like me, biblical scripture stuff leaves you cold, you'll have to wade through a bunch of out in this book. the author just keeps throwing intricate works building things and different oddly named creatures at you so its sometimes hard to keep track of what is going on. She's clearly settling up for a longer series as much of mind wasn't relevant to the basic story line here. the party's I liked were the lead characters actual family and friend relationships, which made more sense than complicated and ornate traps, visions and goes. The narrator mispronounced a couple of words and could have done better at making the text more intelligible by phrasing it but otherwise was fine.

dreary

I did not finish this book as the narrator's tone and canter of reading could not hold my attention. it was if she was reading words but not expressing them to make it an interesting story. I usually tend to love Faith Hunter's books but this one just lost me.
