About this listen
Though Tempe tries to be rational, she is flooded by memories of her best friend, and wonders whether this skeleton, clearly of a girl who's been dead for decades, could possibly be Evangelina's. At the same time, Tempe's love interest, Ryan, is investigating the deaths of two young girls and the disappearance of another three. Are the cases related? Tempe uses the most recent advances in forensic linguistics to identify the old skeleton, while Ryan investigates the possibility of some kind of serial predator at work now.

Excellent book
This is a very compelling story of particular interest to anyone of Canadian maritime heritage and anyone with Acadian heritage in particular. If you like a good mystery with captivating plot twists then you need to read this book. The audio performance is particularly well done and draws the listeners in to become part of the story. You really feel like you are there in Quebec and New Brunswick and you learn a great deal about the history of Acadia.

Good, but not her best
The book had a lot of exposition and was very slow to start. It took me about 2 hours to really get into the story. Overall, it was worth purchasing if you like other Kathy Reichs stuff.

Good but some of it was tough to get through
trigger warning there is some pedophilia and SA in the book and it was really hard to listen to. It's a good story though, I like how it all came together in the end!
