The greatest love songs break your heart.
When I meet Julian Ashburn, the reclusive frontman of indie-rock legends Breaking Giants, I do what any sane woman would do. Embarrass myself, then insult him. Because you only live once, right? Besides, keeping my distance from the enigmatic songwriting genius is an act of self-preservation. Julian is dangerous - a pool of kerosine to my pyromaniac. I have a weakness for broken men.
But sometimes the stories we tell and the songs we sing - about family, love, and ourselves - have to be rewritten in order for us to grow. Call it fate, or stars aligning, or cosmic accident, but I'm about to find out that of the two of us, Julian isn't the broken one.

Just what I needed!!
It was perfect! I need books I can listen to while I work and this was excellent. The narrators had subdued voices so I could still concentrate while doing paperwork. It was suspenseful and heartwarming all at the same time. Thank the stars above for manly men 😊

I love Rose and Julian
I've read this book so many times, it truly is one of my favorite romance novels. I had been checking for some time hoping it would be released on audible and squealed the other day when I finally found it. Now I listen to it during long commutes in my car. It just makes me happy. You will cheer for Rose as she heals deep emotional scars inflected by an addict superstar mother, while you want to slap Julian despite also lusting after him. The epilogue in this story is one of my absolute favorites. Thank you L.M. Halloran, for every minute of angst and joy these lovers inspire.

Felt her pain and angst
Loved Rose, so many demensions, deep and yet light hearted. Story line was a rollercoster, kept me guessing what would happen next. Great love story

Another book hangover
This book broke my heart and built it back together again. Strong character evolution. I agree that the male mc was a bit of a douche but I still swooned (dammit). Love the self growth, the themes rang so true to me.
This would be a great movie. I wanted to hear the lyrics in a song, with his and her voices.
