Publisher's Summary
Private Ranulph Kinny swears his Mongoose - an eight-foot-tall powered armor suit - is trying to kill him. Life in the Outer Colony of Solo Nobre is hard enough, but now a mysterious broadcast blankets the city and plunges Kinny's world into chaos. The Concern wants their colony back, and will do anything to get it. Now Kinny and his power-suited platoon fight for survival as their city falls. Welcome, Brigador.
Writing from expert insight as a career soldier, author Brad Buckmaster weaves an unforgettable tale of military science fiction/action storytelling. A dark future companion novel to Brigador, the isometric mech action game, that conjures that brutal world from the street level. A must for fans of hard military science fiction.

A gritty, desperate love-letter to armored warfare
A damn fun time. Love the game, love the book. If you want a solid, self-contained night of chaos, this is it.

Gripping Story/Characters, Made with Dedication.
Bradley Buckmaster expertly leverages his extensive background in armoured warfare to deliver a grounded, gritty, and unforgiving tale of survival. Ryan Cooper's narration is also very well done, with distinct personality given to each character. This is a must read for fans of military, (hard) science fiction, or mecha/armoured warfare genres.
Additionally, if you haven't already, go check out the stellar game Brigador: Up-Armored Edition, and keep an eye out for the upcoming audiobook, Brigador Killers: Pilgrim, and game, Brigador: Killers.

Great book!
Well written, well paced, and great characterization. The book is very immersive, and if you're someone like me who enjoyed playing the game for hours on end it will simply leave you wanting to play it all over again.
If there isn't already, I hope there will be another edition to this series.
