Publisher's Summary

"But the stars that marked our starting fall away. We must go deeper into greater pain, for it is not permitted that we stay." (Dante Alighieri, Inferno, AD 1301)

At the start of the 22nd century, the starship Acheron is in orbit around WISE 5571, only, unbeknownst to the crew, the ship has been overrun by telepathic extraterrestrials. How do you fight an enemy that distorts everything you see? What do you do when you can't trust your own senses, let alone anyone around you?

Great story great narrator

Its one of those stories once started, have to keep going. One of my favourite narrators as well, a real treat

Fascinating

An original story with a bit of philosophical theme that explores the nature of reality and humanity. Peter Cawdron is now my favorite science fiction writer.

Boring.

Struggles to put on airs of being imaginative but only succeeds in being pretentious. If it wasn't so dull it might be worth investing more time to see if it ever gets anywhere. But it is full. Punishingly dull. Even if you find it free in Plus. take a pass.
