About this listen
Even at 37, with a challenging but rewarding career as a paramedic, Bella Gomez is treated as the baby of the family. It's made her allergic to anyone meddling, so she chooses to keep mostly to herself. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop her family from inserting themselves in her life. Nor does it deter the one man she knows she shouldn't get close to from showing up on her doorstep.
Jasper Greene, an FBI agent with the La Plata County field office, doesn't even know the meaning of family. His team is his family, which is why - when his boss asks him to keep an eye on his baby sister - Jasper readily complies. Even when the sister in question is a spectacularly developed princess with plenty of attitude.
With a shooter on the loose and corruption running rampant, Bella is a magnet for trouble, and Jasper finds himself with his hands full - in more ways than one.

A suspenseful romance
Book 2 of the series and its still amazing. This is Bella (Damien's sister from book 1) and Jasper the FBI agent who works with Damien. Bella has gotten the job at Mercy hospital as an EMT. She has a great partner Ryan but still keeps, everyone at bay. She also struggles with depression. At Damien's wedding she has an encounter with Jasper, which she has had tense encounters with before, but both seem to see a different person and chemistry erupts. While Damien and Carrie are away on their honeymoon, a cop killer in Durango has the FBI and the cops reeling. It's a story with steam, banter, suspense and a beautiful romance. On to book 3.

An amazing listening experience
Cabin 12
(Rock Point #2)
Written by: Freya Barker
Narrated by: Cynthia Farrell and Teddy Hamilton
Yup, addicted to this series in audiobook form! Freya Barker’s Cabin 12 is amazing!
Her Rock Point series continues to keep me on the high a good romantic suspense gives readers!
In book 2 we are participating in Jasper and Bella’s love story. Jasper is an interesting agent. He has so many hidden secrets that he has kept to himself, I don’t think he doesn’t want to share he just sees his life as being something that might not interest people. When in fact, it would help people understand Jasper, maybe help Jasper understand Jasper.
Bella is the youngest sister of Head Agent Damian Gomez. She comes with issues of her own. Having her ex walk out and leaving her holding the bag for all debts. That’s enough to leave you feeling bad about yourself, but she also suffers from depression and with the way her family handled the situation she feels like she is a failure and has allowed the depression hold her hostage.
Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Cynthia Farrell do an excellent job bringing listeners this story. Hamilton and Farrell give us enjoyable listen into their lives. When Bella is put in a spot while her brother is away, Jasper steps up and takes over. It’s easy to see why the verbal push and pull between these two makes this a wonderful listen.
Reading the words from the talented Freya Barker is a good reading experience but listing to those same words from two amazing narrators you are in a win/win situation.

not worth thee time
The performance. The female was actually pretty good. The male....was more caricature than character...cliche and forced. Couldn't finish.
