She's become more boorish

I liked Kenzie's cleverness and level-headedness in the first book but she's become more childish and crass in this book. Mouths off when she should be quiet. I know her bluntness is supposed to be endearing but it's becoming obnoxious.

Add other stories shake up and use.

Caged seemed like the author just took pieces from other stories and added them together.
as I went through this book other books popped in my head, from
Mercy Thompson triangle between alpha and big alphas son, as well as a vampire thrown in.
Kate Daniels troubles with family.
KITTY norville male wolves dominating the females, and other stories of this premise. the events that Mackenzie Grey and supporting cast goes through are just to close to above mentioned stories to enjoy.
