good story

I thoroughly enjoyed the series. I was really pleased that the story ended with such promise

A fun series but a rushed ending

I love Molly Harper's take on YA fiction. As an avid Harry Potter and Bridgeton fan, this series felt like a parallel fantasy world that put these two worlds together. I enjoyed the friendship of the three young girls who join forces to fight evil and who support, learn from each other and grow up together through it all. Amanda Ronconi is like always a lively and versatile narrator. There is, however, a problem with its rushed ending. I felt like the second and third book had build up so much hype around a final confrontation, but instead of the storm of the century, we just had a brief afternoon shower. I had to listen to the last two chapter twice because I actually missed most of the key points in the ending, everything happened so quickly and to a certain degree too abruptly. I guess I was expecting for a little more drama and suspense. I'm hoping Sorcery and Society may continue like others of Harper's series, because these three books were not enough, in my opinion, to continue to explore the interesting universe Molly Harper created for us.

The other end of the world

When a necromancer returns from the grave (DUH! how obvious is that?) our heroes are forced to save civilization for yet a third time.

But many questions remain. Will X marry Y? Will Z return one more time? And will there be a fourth book? Only time will tell.

Very good series but boring ending

The series and this specific book was very good and fun to listen but the ending was missing a twist or suspense which made it a bit disappointing. Never less it is worth it
