About this listen

Do you have a prodigal; a child, a husband, or someone close to you that you are crying out to God for? Are you begging God to do something, to please save this person? Do you feel like your prayers are not being answered? Or even heard? Have you been praying and begging God for years, but it is only getting worse? Maybe you even blame God and are angry with him for not saving your loved one by now. Maybe you blame yourself; if only you had known God sooner, you could have led your child to the Lord, before it was too late.

Can I encourage you that there is hope? And maybe, just maybe, there is a better way to pray? I, too, have been in the trenches with a prodigal of my own, and I have seen the power and faithfulness of God go to work on my son’s behalf, to loose him from the bonds of wickedness and set him free, all because I learned how to pray effectively. It is sad to say, but not all prayer gets the job done.

Much of what we call “prayer” today is ineffective, and there is a better way. Come along with me, as I share my journey with my son and what I learned through the process. God loves your prodigals just as much as he loves my son, and it is his deep desire to see your prodigals come home to him and to you.

“The Lord is not willing that any perish, but that all come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9). God wants to save your loved one and he can and will, but he needs someone to be praying...effectively...so he can do just that.
