The unthinkable has happened. Amy Yoder rushes to Andrew’s house, ready to take care of his newborn baby. How can her best friend Grace be gone? How could Grace not have lived to see her baby draw its first breath?
Grief is thick in Andrew’s house. Amy does her best to keep things going. She and her sister will be staying at Andrew’s house indefinitely. But Peter, Amy’s long-time beau, isn’t pleased. When he witnesses Amy in Andrew’s house, he panics and asks her to marry him.
Amy agrees. After all, she’s been waiting months and months for this moment. But something isn’t right...something feels off. As Amy struggles with her own grief and her growing attachment to Grace and Andrew’s baby, she must also work to ensure that her relationship with Peter moves forward. Amy’s only sweet moments of relief come when she snuggles with the baby. But even that won’t last...
In the tradition of the works of Beverly Lewis, Cindy Woodsmall, and Wanda Brunstetter, best-selling author Brenda Maxfield continues to bring you gripping Amish tales of love, hope, and God’s miracles.
