About this listen
Once upon a time, humankind ruled the world while lycans and vampires lived in secret. This is no longer that time.
Juliet
It is my duty to obey, to give my body and blood to a vampire master until he no longer has use for me. There is no escape. Nowhere to run. Follow the rules or die. I don't want to die.
Darius
Twenty-two years of conditioning has crafted the perfect poison-a weapon my enemies won't see coming. I'll break her, train her, and use her to take down everyone who stands in my way. She's alluring. She's perfect. And she's mine.
Welcome to the future where the superior bloodlines make the rules. Proceed at your own risk.
Contains mature themes.

Interesting so far
We’ll book 1 was interesting enough, humans are nothing but slaves or cattle in this world ruled by vampires & werewolves.
Our female protagonist is sold off as a high commodity since she was born & raised having never been touched by anyone but her female matriarch where she was taught how to be the perfect submissive slave to her master.
She was lucky the very old vampire who bought her didn’t want her virginity and to harm her but to create her into being the perfect weapon to one day help him take their current government down.
Their relationship takes time but it’s genuine and enjoyable. Some good spice. I’m excited to see what will happen in book 2

Not what I expected but still enjoyed it.
Makes me think of those slow-paced not-so-common/popular animes like Vampire Knight where not all that much happens in some scenes but there's a lot of inner dialogue. This book obviously being much more intense, of course. This series is a little different than my usual and I like it. The female voice has a bit of an annoying drawl but my complaints are outweighed by that delectable accent for Darius.
