About this listen

Magic is fading... and the ways of Man are driving the Old Ones to the West, beyond the ken of humankind. The ancient groves are being destroyed, and if nothing is done, Ireland will lose its essential mystic core. The prophecies of long ago have foretold a way to prevent this horror, and it is the Sevenwaters clan that the spirits of Eire look to for salvation. They are a family bound into the lifeblood of the land, and their promise to preserve the magic has been the cause of great joy to them... as well as great sorrow.

It is up to Fianne, daughter of Niamh, the lost sister of Sevenwaters, to solve the riddles of power. A shy child of a reclusive sorcerer, she finds that her way is hard: She is the granddaughter of the wicked sorceress Oonagh, who has emerged from the shadows and seeks to destroy all that Sevenwaters has striven for. Oonagh will use Fianne most cruelly to accomplish her ends, and stops at nothing to see her will done. Will Fianne be strong enough to battle this evil and save those she has come to love?

Another Excellent Sevenwaters Book!

#Audible1

This book was so unexpected, not at all like the characters in her first two books. There were lots of twists and turns, and a surprise ending! The performance was so convincing, I didn't want to have the volume up around my kids since the voice of the Lady Oonah was so frightening. Excellent listen, worth listening to again.

Another Banger

Love her writing, it's hard to pick a favourite book in this series, but I'd say this is my favourite.

There was some issues with the audio in this telling, mostly ignorable unless you're using headphones.

The telling of this tale was perfectly executed

I think that they chose the absolute right person to read this book as they had a perfect voice for it as well as an incredible talent for the range of emotions and different characters she was able to portray. Very well done. As always the Sevenwater Series is one of the best series I've ever read in my life and the audio book has just magnified my deep love for the series.

The worst editing ever.

The story and performance were great but I've never heard worse cuts and inserts. The edited sections are significantly louder than the rest of the production. It's very annoying and actually painful when listening with earbuds.
