Publisher's Summary

Retirement means immortality. Immortality means adventure. Life begins at 70.

Running on the world's fastest quantum computer is a very special game: one where retirees leave their flesh-and-blood lives in search of endless adventure. Weapons, spells, gold, experience points.... These are the marks by which life is now measured.

Ethan Crane wants none of it. In fact, he never wanted to retire at all, let alone play a game for all eternity. But now he's on a mission to find his wife - a wife he just discovered is still alive and inside the game.

Nothing will stop him from reaching her. Not even himself.

What a dumb Game like World

This is a dumb, Fun yet interesting Story. Poor Ethan getting the Short end of the Stick. this story is very good if you like this sort of story, i liked it very much. tho it would have ben nice knowing what happened to his Wife. Warning this audio book can be quite gruesome at times. Ok very gruesome actually, the descriptions that is.

I would not be interested in living in said world, as is no but maybe if it was a lil more friendly towards the players.

good but meh

listened the whole way thru. several points of the story are confusing forcing you to re listen to make sure you heard correctly... if you liked SAO and want to read about a dumb s#!+wanna be Kirito then fill yer boots. simple world building lazily explained and a what felt like a very rushed ending (although decent story). this travis guy sounds excatly the same as nick podell in my opinion so if you like him that's also a bonus.
"remember my opinion means nothing... make up your own minds sheeple"

enjoy reading
