Loads of Fun

Relentlessly cute, a helping if warm fuzzys, and a heaping spoonful of adventure. This has an anime feel but is far more westernized.

Fun characters, cool setting!

This book is a relief from gritty, morally grey protagonists. It takes a main character who is unquestionably good, and puts her in a dangerous setting WITHOUT making her turn cynical and jaded in the process. the narrator also does a wonderful job with giving characters unique, fun voices.

Lovely

Have you ever wanted a story about a character the exact opposite of Jason Asano? This is for you!

Broccoli is adorable and Reba Buhr is amazing!

I started reading this on my kindle, but honestly love the audiobook so much more! Broccoli Bunch is so sweet, adorable, I love her!
Reba Buhr does an amazing job bringing all the characters to life! I’ve definitely become a fan of both the series and the narrator!

A great book

This book is a joyous romp through an interesting fantasy world. Broccoli Bunch is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual mopey murderhobo litrpg protagonists. it's great that cinnamon bun has finally been made into an audiobook and Reba Buhr dose a wonderfull job bringing Broccoli to life.

A light-hearted breath of fresh air.

All too often litrpg isekai type stroies are flooded with convoluted plots or overly serious story arcs with pointless and ill-writen romances thrown in as filler.

Here we have a completely, unbelievably cheery lass thrown into another world on a not so grand adventure and she her largest worry is finding lots of friends. Most of the book is as lighthearted as our endlessly optimistic heroine with only short forays into the serious and dark. Much the oposite of most other similar novels I've read/listened to.

Perhaps most pleasant is how little the book relies on the litrpg setting to push the story along, there's not whole chapters of skill grinding for grindings sake and the worlds mechanics have been simple enough thus far that there hasn't been a need for whole chapters worth of expository drudgery. What explanations we do need are spread out and worked into dialogue that feels natural.

All in all, a very pleasant, if simple, novel, narrated quite well.
