About this listen
Surrounded by secrecy, it is home to the wildest dreams and darkest nightmares. Incredible amounts of money have been lavished on it. The best minds of two generations have labored to build it. And somehow, bit by bit, it is claiming the Earth's most valuable resource - its children.

stunning and before its time
this book was written over 28 years ago and it still feels new and fresh... you can see several plot devices that Ernst Cline seems to have borrowed from this book to underscore the main story for ready player one. you know it's good when it influences other great authors.

I was entertained
I have read the series before a long time ago and wanted to revisit the story. The audiobook performance was well done and I enjoyed it as much as I did in printed form. Throughly entertaining.

Good long book
Fairly inventive and well rounded. The slow pace is filled with entertaining characters and scenes. A reasonably satisfying choice if you're looking for an extra long book/series to fill time. Looking forward to seeing where the characters end up.

The performance of national accents is amazing
Reading for the second time, I find the pacing of the action much more enjoyable. I remember wanting so much for it to rush on, when I was young. As far as narration, the reader is an excellent choice actor; the small flaws in his rendering of the descriptive passages actually helps me to stay on top of the action.

How awful this narrator wow
The narrator ruins the book more than anything. It's a dumb book tbh but the narrator sounds like an Indian with his accent sounds nothing like South African. I'm from Canada and I've more. Than enough of that Indian accent lmao instant delete / return of book
