About this listen

The new short story from Karin Slaughter and Lee Child!

Twice the action.

Twice the drama.

Double the trouble.

Will Trent is undercover at Fort Knox. His assignment: to investigate a 22-year-old murder. His suspect's name: Jack Reacher.

Jack Reacher is in Fort Knox on his own mission: to bring down a dangerous criminal ring operating at the heart of America’s military. Except now Will Trent is on the scene.

But there’s a bigger conspiracy at play - one that neither the special agent nor the ex-military cop could have anticipated. And the only option is for Jack Reacher and Will Trent to team up and play nicely. If they can....

Not enough Jack Reacher

Opposite from other short Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child this one does not have enough presence of the main character. It seems that a collaboration of authors worked some kind of compromise that didn't really work out for Jack Reacher fans as myself. On top of that the story doesn't have a logical end and the performance does not fit well.

Always entertaining thrillers but don’t like this narration

Best narration for Karin Slaughter’s books are are done by Kathleen Early. I just can’t get into the story as much with the narration in this audiobook.

Not a lot of quit I hope

Really enjoyed this and it ended in the perfect place for a sequel!
Trent and Reacher are such strong characters, each in their own unique way.
Two different cases merge through them to an ending that causes Will to compromise his values and Reacher to disclose more than he normally does.
I am sure ypu will enjoy this and be looking forward to the next installment!

Great Story

Classic Lee Child. Love his writing and plot twists. Not sure of contribution by Karen Slaughter but assuming 50/50 she is a great writer too.

Worth the Credit?

This was a good story but extremely short. I’ve been reading through all of the Karin Slaughter books and this one was a bit disappointing.

Waste of money

Waste of my 30+ dollars, one narrator was awful, and way shorter than all my audibles ever
