About this listen
Homicide detective J. Warner Wallace applies ten common rules of evidence to make the case for Christianity in this completely updated and expanded edition of the apologetic classic that has changed lives around the world. A devout atheist, J. Warner Wallace couldn’t imagine believing in the Christian faith—until he applied the same step-by-step investigative process he utilized in his work as a homicide detective to the case for Christianity. In light of the ten common rules of evidence that he’d used to solve crimes throughout his career, Wallace realized he could no longer deny the truth of Jesus Christ. And his life was never the same. A proven bestseller, Cold-Case Christianity shows: How detective skills help us determine the historical reliability of the Bible The role that evidence plays in the Christian definition of faith Why the gospel eyewitness accounts demonstrate the historicity of Jesus How rules of evidence help make the case for the proof of Christianity
An ideal book for spiritual seekers, as well as Christians who want to articulate the case for Jesus and the reliability of the Bible, this engaging exploration of Christianity answers the most important questions regarding the validity of the Bibl

There are four ways to die, and only one of them requires an intruder. Suicides, accidental, and natural deaths can occur without any evidence from outside the room. But murders typically involve suspects external to the crime scene. If there's evidence of an outside intruder, homicide detectives have to prepare for a chase. Intruders turn death scenes into crime scenes.

Story
Critics outside the church often accuse the Old Testament God of genocide, racism, ethnic cleansing, and violence. But a rising tide of critics within the church claim that Moses and other "primitive," violence-prone prophets were mistaken about God's commands and character. Both sets of critics dismiss this allegedly harsh, flawed, "textual" Old Testament God in favor of the kind, compassionate, "actual" God revealed by Jesus. Are they right to do so?

The Bible is clear that all believers are called to defend their faith. However, if apologetics is the formal process that we have come to expect, this sounds like an impossible task. But what if apologetics could be part of natural, normal conversation ― both from the pulpit and in everyday life?

Story
To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. 6Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide listeners through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God.

Story
In an increasingly secular society, those who have a biblical worldview are now a shrinking minority. As mainstream culture grows more hostile toward the Bible’s truths and those who embrace them, you’ll face mounting pressures — from family, friends, media, academia, and government — to change and even abandon your beliefs. But these challenges also create abundant opportunities to stand strong for Christ and shine light to those hurt by the darkness of our day.

Story
Christianity is a picture of reality. It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end. In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story.

An edifying experience
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am someone who is constantly looking for new and exciting ways to present the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This book did not disappoint at all. It pushed me to think critically about my faith, and helped me to be more confident when presenting the Gospel. Thanks Det. Wallace for all you do for the Kingdom.

Well worth the read
Amazing book with lots of detail and scenarios exemplified. It can get very technical sometimes, but for the technically minded, such as myself, this is right up their alley.

An Arresting Read
As my introduction to apologetics, the original Cold Case Christianity proved to be easy to read, relatable, and full of wisdom and insights about how to carefully examine the evidence for the Gospels. During a difficult time in my faith journey, this book was the one that taught me the value of examining the evidence and putting my trust in truth, rather than my own experiences or feelings. This new edition breathes new life into what was already a classic, and I can't recommend this book enough for anyone who, Christian or no, who is honestly and sincerely seeking to follow the evidence where it leads. And for those like myself who love both apologetics and cop stories, this is an absolute must read. Highly recommended!
