About this listen
Everyone said our love wouldn’t work. That it was too hard, too complicated, too messy. Oh how I enjoy proving everyone wrong.
My men are smart, sexy, sophisticated, and most of all, crazy about me. The only problem is trying to explain that to my big, opinionated Italian family.
But after all we’ve been through, we deserve a happily ever after. And if there’s one thing I know about my guys, they always manage to have a few surprises up their sleeves.

Story
Relationships are complex. Love is ever-changing. And when it comes to rules of the heart, they were made to be broken. That's what Robert Antonio Bianchi was telling himself, anyway. Otherwise, he really had no excuse for what - or who - he'd done. If there was a bad decision to be made, Robbie always had a knack for making it. And thus, begins the story of the priest, the princess, and the prick.

Story
If I had to describe Sean Bailey, it would be: A surly, temperamental pain in my ass. Never in that equation would I ever include the word boyfriend - and not just because he’s straight. The older brother of my life-long best friend, Sean is a detective for the Chicago PD, and is also known as Detective “Dick” for being...well, a surly, temperamental pain in everyone’s ass. He also happens to be the best they have, which is why I find myself on his doorstep the night my life is threatened by an anonymous stalker.

Story
When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

Story
When I showed up at my roommate's work party, the last thing I expected was to find a man straight out of my dreams. But when the crowd parted and the fates aligned, there he was, waiting for me. Marcus St. James, president of ENN WorldWide News. Sexy and powerful, with a stare that could freeze you in place, Marcus was the perfect reward for securing a job at Mitchell & Madison, the best law firm in Chicago. To play with the big fish, however, one must become a big fish, and that's where my little white lie began.

Massive world tours. Over a hundred million albums sold. Groupies galore. Every day is a party for Viper and the guys of TBD, the biggest rock band in the world. But it all comes to a screeching halt when the lead singer walks out of the studio one day and never comes back. Ear-blistering vocals. Butchered lyrics. Fame chasers. After months of lackluster auditions, Viper, the lead guitarist and resident bad boy of the group, is ready to find solace in the bottom of a bottle.

Amazing!!!
Ella Frank’s books... I don’t know how to not fall in love all the characters she creates. The series was breathtaking.

not as good
Love all of Ellas books and I loved the first 3 in this series but this one fell short for me.
I'm glad they got their hea and I love all the characters. I'm glad we got to see Robbie coming clean to his family and I loved the wedding.
I wanted more at the beginning of the aftermath of book 3 but it just skipped 6 months like nothing happened. I didn't like the proposal and the epilogue seemed out of character for them. Some other "filler" parts seemed to drag and be unnecessary.
Charlie did a great performance regardless.

Okay. A rather anti-climactic story.
Considering the action-packed nature of book 3, this one was too domestic/slice-of-life for my tastes. Ella Frank just glosses over the trauma that they all experienced in the previous book? Why? I feel like the opportunity for deeper, more interesting characterization and plotlines were missed. Nonetheless, I enjoyed Priest's/Robbie's dynamic more than I enjoy Julien's. I love when Priest calls him pretty in that domineering sort of way.
The book was alright; it took me months to get through it. Charlie David's performance was quite nice, although the anglophone-accented French was difficult to listen to, lol. Great job overall on behalf of the narrator.
