Publisher's Summary

With great corruption comes great power.

Jack is pretty sure that's the way the saying goes. It's a good thing, too, for the war in Ter’nodril, which he’d hoped would spell the beginning of the end for the DIR, instead left him corrupted, body and soul. The good news is that the Fallen used the Blight that now fills his veins as a weapon in their war against the gods themselves. He’s sure that he can find a way to use it, too, to destroy Valia Online once and for all. He even knows exactly who he'll test its power against first: Manhart.

He must find an answer a question he’s wanted to ask since they first met: What sound will the lich make when he’s dying?

loved it!

it's so hard finding good books with intelligent mc and great character development lately I chewed through this book too fast.
I only hope I do not have to wait as long for the next title!

Well Written

It was fantastic and really interesting. This was the best book in the series so far. I really like how dark and ruthless Jack and Daggers can be. We finally got to see Jack grow as a character instead of being a robot the whole time. The ending was an absolute mind F with some really sad Implications it took me 10 minutes of thinking about it to fully comprehend what the ending meant.

Wow...

I liked the first two books but I loved this one. The twist at the end was at M. Night Shyamalan levels except not completely out of leftfield. With hindsight being 20-20, I now see that there was a TON of clues as to what the twist was but just felt like foreshadowing other future events at the time.

If you liked the first books, heck even if you didn't, then this one is just a must buy. Worth!
