About this listen
An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.
I had a plan.
Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?
Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.
That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn't buying that either.
Too bad for him, I won't let anyone get in the way of my mission.
Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He's the worst kind of wrong - and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.
Because they took her from me, and I'm going to make them pay.

Bogus
Not a fan of the male character seeing as he’s a sadist and I don’t route for him at all. The girl starts off so strong then never impresses again and constantly has to be saved. The story line was also cheesy and bogus.

Got Bored
I love the collaborations A. Zavarelli does with other authors- really brings something different to the books and I really wanted to like this book.... but I didn't.
It was just monotonous.
I usually finish series even if I was iffy on book 1 and would like to know about Ronan (Book 2) but I don't think I will because if it's the same it's just not worth it. I skipped a few chapters and still didn't miss anything. Going into the "Never again" pile.
Tracy Marks did a great job with the narration and great vocals / accents. Maybe a little more feeling to really bring out emotions in the listener but I would listen to other books by Tracy.
