Publisher's Summary

Once upon a time, I was your average spunky redhead with the lamest employment history ever, a shaky relationship with my only family member, and no idea what I was doing with my life.

Now, I'm a pseudo mythic with the best bartending job in the world, the most amazing (and hot) best friends I never knew I needed, and a guild of misfit magic users who've become my extended family.

And I'm about to lose it all.

In my desperation to save Ezra, I stumbled into a web of ruthless deception - and seriously pissed off a sleeping hydra. Now its every murderous head is turned toward me and my guild, and I don't know how to stop it. I'm not sure I can.

I'm not sure anyone can.

But if we don't, we're all doomed - Ezra, Aaron, Kai, and my beloved guild.

Great Book! Great Series!

Very sad that it is over. I didn't want this last book to end. I really enjoyed the whole series. The narrator does an amazing job also.

Packed with action, answers and hilariousness!!!

This book has a little of everything and everyone we have met so far. we learn the answers to long ago asked questions, get more action than ever and have some awesome cameos from favorite characters from previous books. This is the perfect conclusion to the guild codex series. Although I would never say no to more ;)

Author Annette Marie does an amazing job bringing this world to life and making you feel like a member of the Crow and Hammer Guild. you love the charecters and will yell in excitement for them as the story unfolds. Cris Dukehart helps bring this already amazing story into technicolor clarity with her amazing narration, she has wonderful inflection and distinct voices for each character so you never have to wonder who's talking. the two of them together are unstoppable.

I can't wait to see what is next in the spin offs and future.

No senior-itis here! WOW!

Dukehart and Marie send the Guilded Codex out with Bang 😉 and lots of action!

This series was so good, I look forward to Kit's story expanding the Universe but I am glad to see the Guild: Codex end here.

Series was so good. I hope it gets an HBO style show some day.

Excellent Story

I love this series and it keeps getting better.
It is definitely different than other series in same genre. It is a refreshing twist on the mythic world stories.

Loved it ... but wish it was a bit longer

I really love the books in the Guild Codex series. Not a romance reader myself (but appreciate that this is one of her draws for other readers and that is cool) so I am here for her world building, great characters and great stories. My only real complaint is that I wish she would delve a bit deeper into the character interactions and character development. We know that Tory and Sin are friends but we never get any scenes of them being friends. Tory has two familiars and for me (and I suspect much of her audience) good scenes of Tory interacting with her Familiars are something of a highlight and yet we are lucky if we get some good scenes with Tory and her familiars every 2nd book.

In this book I was happy with the way things played out (happier then I thought I would be when there was yet another jailbreak) but I also found myself disappointed that we saw so little of Tori's Guild Master displaying his apparently phenomenal political talent.

Annette Marie has, in some sense, pushed Urban Fantasy into a realm of Epic Urban Fantasy and while I think she is a super fun authour to read I hope one day to read a story of hers (hopefully involving a mix of her characters) that push things further in a literary sense. I would like to read a book by her that could seriously be put forward for as a contender for a Hugo or a Nebula. I think she has the talent and the setting to make that a reality.
