Publisher's Summary

I hate Dante Moretti. He is cold, calculating, and vicious. It’s no secret that he wiped out his former fiancée and her entire family on the eve of their wedding. He’s the kind of evil that makes even devils cry.

But that’s not why I hate him.

I hate him because he has taken the only thing I have left in this miserable world–my freedom. He has chained me to him because of a debt that I don’t owe. I just have the misfortune to share the bloodline of the man who does.

And now I’m trapped in his gilded cage, and the only thing I have left to do is run. And I try. I really do. But he is everywhere.

Suffocating. All consuming. Intoxicating.

He is a paradox. A man with a heart as cold as ice, whose passion rages like an inferno.

Why does he see into my soul in a way that nobody else ever has? Why does the slightest brush of his skin make my pulse race?

My mom always warned me never to play with matches. But if Dante Moretti is fire, then I want to burn.

Dante is the first book in the Chicago Ruthless series, featuring the Moretti siblings. Each book is a stand-alone with an HEA. This is a spicy dark mafia enemies-to-lovers forced-proximity romance that features scenes of a violent nature, as well as those of an explicit sexual nature.

Entertaining enough

Story was too long and not at all believable. Book probably could’ve been 2hrs shorter although it was entertaining enough. Performance of male main character wasn’t great. He ruined the steamy bits for me even though female main was great. Overall, book kept me interested enough but wasn’t raptured.

Mafia Era.

So I want to thank Sadie Kincaid for making me love Mafia, I've tried for years to get into but it's seemed to cheesy and I read the most popular and after I finished it I was bored and I didn't care.

Dante was scrumptious 😋 😍 Kat was a complete bad ass and she stood up for her self and she wasn't a doormat. What I really enjoyed about this was their wasn't any third act break up and even though the spice hit which whew so hot!. With all the action going on I wasn't bored.

It was a good easy listen.

The story was pretty good, kept me invested. The only issue I had was the male narrator had no fluidity, it made it difficult. Sentence. Stop. Sentence. Stop. It was like listening to my fourth grader read.

An Intense and Emotional Ride with Dante

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
📚E-BOOK📚 &🎧AUDIO🎧

"Dante," the first book in the Chicago Ruthless series by Sadie Kincaid, was my introduction to this series, but it’s definitely not my first book by this author. Sadie has carved out her own niche in the mafia romance genre, and her signature blend of possessive heroes, suspense, and fiery passion is unmistakable here. Dante is no exception, yet it stands out with its own unique intensity.

Almost halfway through the story, I had a feeling that this book was about to gut me, and let me tell you—I was right. I cried, a lot. I ugly cried. The emotions in this book hit hard and lingered long after I put it down. It’s dark, it tackles some difficult subjects, so I highly recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in.

The plot is gripping, with concealed secrets and explosive interactions between Dante and Kat. They fight each other relentlessly, their irritation and lust simmering until it transforms into a sweet, undeniable addiction. Their story is raw, intense, and absolutely enthralling.

Dante and Kat’s journey is one that I truly loved. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with darkness, passion, and ultimately, redemption. If you’re a fan of dark mafia romances that push boundaries and evoke strong emotions, this book is a must-read. Sadie Kincaid has done it again, delivering a story that’s as captivating as it is heart-wrenching.

SPOILERS AHEAD…Trigger warning

Despite reading several reviews on Amazon and elsewhere and reading the book / trope description, it didn’t state there’d be descriptive rape scenes. With a mafia romance I expect violence and explicit relations but it also included graphic rape scenes and not just as flashbacks in the book. I think part of the topic was handled well while other parts were not. My three stars are for the rest of the book and some of the plot. The narration was excellent.
