Boyd celebrates his recent victory with Silver and Kitsune as Glorith City celebrates him as the Hero he'd given up on being seen as. After several years of either being stuck in a lab or remanded to domestic responsibilities, he is more than ready to see some more action. It's what he was raised for, after all.

Things continue to move faster than Boyd is used to though, and whoever is targeting him certainly isn’t done.

Boyd will learn more about how his Enhancement works while providing new insights into where Powers in general come from. He will solidify his relationships and meet a new prospect to fill the role he is leaving behind as he moves into the field. Along the way, he will start to address the traumas from his past.

more of the same from the first book. emotions are too complicated for me to follow I think. sometimes with contradicting descriptions. maybe more emotionally attuned readers will follow it better then me.

but I gata say that the mc is not in charge at all in any of the relationships. which I find really creates a disconnect. he does not feel in charge of anything. the only time he seems like the mc is when he disobeys orders. He's not even the MC in my opinion. it's Silver really. she's in charge and manipulates Dashing devil all the time. and there is no proper relationship conflict because of his power called the bond which tells him what they are feeling so they are never really at odds which is frustrating to watch becuz all the drama feels like in fast forward or something. bah 😞
