Publisher's Summary

Kidnapped by the notorious rebel group Provstat, Brexley finds her connection goes deeper than she ever imagined.

Reunited with old acquaintances and an uncle she never knew, Brexley is thrown into the vicious world of politics, where human and fae leaders will do anything to come out on top. Here dangerous associations and meticulous plots are far more dangerous and cutthroat than any game she survived in Halálház.

If her life wasn’t complicated enough, her relationship with the infamous legend is growing stronger. The more she tries to untangle the link between Warwick and her, the thicker it wraps around them both, entwining them in a world between life and death, where brutal passion and fury collide. When whispers of a coveted magical substance called "the nectar" start buzzing louder, Brexley’s strange bond to the fae book leads her on an unexpected journey that brings her closer to the answers she seeks.

But once she opens the door, all the secrets and lies of her past come flooding out, including truths she’s not ready to face...and betrayals that cut bone deep.

Starting to root against Brexley

I don’t mind that Brexley is basically a newborn when it comes to understanding who she is and how she came to be. What I can’t abide is how she consistently acts dumber than a bag of hammers in 99% of circumstances. She is a constant threat to the people around her and it’s as if she actively looks for opportunities to put them and herself in harms way. She overestimates herself at every turn and ignores every instinct imaginable. It’s like she defies the laws of learned behaviour and continuously repeats the same mistakes on a loop. It’s infuriating because I WANT to root for her, but so many of the bad outcomes she faces are a direct result of her poor decisions, it’s hard to be on her side. The fact that she still thinks she qualifies as a thief when the last two times she tried robbing she ended up jumping in the river and shot and put into jail. I dunno. I guess it’s how the author propels the story forward, but it’s a bit lazy in my opinion and just makes the reader dislike the main character. Brexley could be a strong female character who was strong at first because of her magic but learns to find strength in her humanity and character too, but she just never seems to get there. Everything she is is because of an invisible magic she never knew she had. Without it, she’s so one dimensional and honestly, very weak. It’s a shame. I don’t want a damsel in constant distress with periodic bouts of plot-required power, but that’s what we got so far.

Totally addictive! Love Brexley, shes a real bada$$ warrior but the things this girl has gone through?! Its beyond amazing shes still some what "sane" after it all. Helps when you have a brownie and imp that are absolutely hilarious! My Gawd..those two and their banter cracks me up each time 😂

Hot! Steamy! Wholly hell!

I am getting a little perturbed by Brexley’s rashness of situations. But I guess in Fae years she’s just a wee child. She is determined, I can say that! The sex is well written and steamy!
On to the next book!

Kind of over it

I’m kind of over this series. The story is just kind of blah. Feels like a soap opera where nothing happens forever. Just lots of sex (well written sex scenes). I’ll still read the 4th book obviously..
