It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are).
It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu. If he's going to have a chance, he'll need his wits, a little bit of luck, and lots of ammo.

The story was phenomenal, had me hooked!
I was hooked from the first chapter, couldnt stop listening, really hoping this writer makes another/sequel book!

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I REALLY like this one! Story was great, typical post-apocalyptic walking dead kinda stuff. But what I really like was the main characters overall attitude. A badass, but also outrageously sarcastic and hilarious. Reminded me a lot of Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99 haha. Great book, highly recommend 👍🏻

A Great Relief from the Tedium of the Genera
Sanchez gives us a breath of fresh air from all the alpha operator post-apocalyptic hullabaloo. With a protagonist who’s greatest flaw isn’t that he’s just way too good of a guy who is cursed to be the most competent human to ever live and can never feel the sweet experience of making a mistake. Honestly the best zombie novel I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.

I really appreciated the humour. The characters, all were well done. I was a bit worried I may have to find a next book, but this author gave us an ending.

Listened to the whole book in a single sitting!
Oh man. What a novel. If you are a fan of this genre, you’re going to fall in love with the characters and story. My only disappointment is that the author hasn’t continued with the series (yet). But I’m blown away by how good this book is, and wish I could listen to it all over again for the first time.
I won’t spoil anything in the review, but all I can say is that it is the best in this genre.

Loved it!
The main characters witty sense of humor keeps you engaged at all times! On top of that it’s got a real refreshing look at what the apocalypse could look like. I really wish this wasn’t the end.

Great action humour and characters
I really like this book, good story, good characters, kind of funny, and a great narrator. I read a lot of zombie books, and this was one of my favorites.
