Publisher's Summary
Working as a quality-assurance grunt in the gaming industry sounds like fun, right? You get to play the coolest new games before anyone else. And all you have to do is to find, reproduce, and report bugs before the last pixel is locked in and the games are launched to an eager public. Sure, there’s the unpaid overtime, the office politics, and the ever-present threat of layoffs. But you get to game!
But when a small third-party testing team is assigned to work on Blade Skill Online - a highly anticipated virtual reality MMORPG - they quickly find that some bugs are more serious than others, and some truly insidious features are "working as intended".
If our intrepid QA team wants to survive the launch cycle, they're going to have to break this game. Hard.

A fun flyby through the world of QA & videogames
Disclosure notice: am a first-time Audible subscriber and am currently listening to all the free goodness, like this title.
Really enjoyed the voice actors. Big fan of Travis Baldree from Legends & Lattes. Thought that the entire ensemble did well.
Wasn't sure about the pacing at first, but you get to know the characters over time, bits and pieces about who they are apart from their usernames, and all the comments and dialogue from the early chapters comes full circle to total relevance in the last quarter of the audiobook.
If you're not sold on whether to try this, I heartily recommend it if you have a passion for games, for role-playing quirky characters, for excellent voice actors giving full cast performances and questionable situations that boggle the mind and are wholly incredulous. The endgame is definitely terrific, and the sign-off expected but still funny. Hope you do, and hope you enjoy. If not, it was still probably free. ;)

Short Sweet and Spectacular
Was a great listen from one of my favourite authors. Was disappointed at first to see such a short time but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed every minute

Awesome Read
Loved it. Perfect balance of humor and tension with undeniably enjoyable characters. The format in which it's presented, as chat logs, is such a unique and fantastic experience and the voice cast is top notch.

S.A.O
the fact that this is poking fun at the design flaws in sword art online is glorious. You can tell Rowe was listing these issues when watching the anime and spawned this fun short story

Not what I was expecting
This is so far from what I’ve come to expect from Rowe, yet it fits. I’m sure anyone with a background in tech would have enjoyed this a lot more than I did, but it was still great from a weeb perspective.

Cringey at times
Not a terrible story and a unique idea. But at times the acting was extremely cringy. A good time waster.

decent performances but the story was not good
The performance value if this was great-sound effects and music brought it to life. The voice actors were also great. on the surface the plot was interesting, but the execution of the plot was terrible.
