Publisher's Summary

Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth's eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he's different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

Contains mature themes.

One of my favorites!

4 Blue Roses
3.5 Blue Flames

Narrator Kirsten Potter delivered this paranormal romance so skillfully that it is impossible to not engross yourself in the world of immortals, vampires and gifted ones. I've been following this series, and between the BDB of JR Ward and Christine Feehan's Dark series, this series is also a must listen. It's absolutely one of my favorite M/F paranormal romances.

Seth is the son of one of the first fallen angels who had children with humans. His father appears twice in this book and it's such a treat to have the cross over with reality as vampires and immortals have the same virus, but since the immortals were gifted ones with enhanced DNA, they do not turn vampire, but rather immortal.

I loved how sexy Seth is and the natural disasters occurring when he makes love and lose control. Leah is also perfect for him, she is sassy, mature and fits perfectly into the immortal world. I don't want to spoil the best parts, but it lays the perfect foundation for the next book.

We do have a HEA as usual, and I recommend this series in the reading order the author intended.

(I hope we see a gay immortal couple in the near future).
Happy Listening

Best in the series

I absolutely love the entire Immortal Guardians series. The depth the author goes in to creating the characters is amazing. Their quirky personalities, their sarcasm and humor, their lust for love, passion and humanity. I love it all! This book however, is absolutely phenomenal! Seth’s story tugs at the heartstrings and because we know him so well after Reading the previous books in the series, you can’t help but love him, respect him and want him to find love and the life he desires. In my opinion, this is the best in the series yet
I would also like to say as an audiobook reader, Kirsten Potter is phenomenal at narrating the series. She gave me an experience with this book and it made me love it that much more..
