About this listen
Now a major motion picture directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Gal Gadot.
Beloved detective Hercule Poirot embarks on a journey to Egypt in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous mysteries, narrated by Kenneth Branagh.
The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything . . . until she lost her life.
Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.
A sweeping mystery of love, jealousy, and betrayal, Death on the Nile is one of Christie’s most legendary and timeless works.
“Death on the Nile is perfect.” —The Guardian
“One of her best. . . . First rate entertainment.” —Kirkus Reviews

Story
Did one of the Cavendish brothers poison their stepmother, Mrs. Iglethorp, or was it her new husband? Nadia May reads with such a delightful English accent, intonation, and careful pacing that the suspense and drama build gradually. Each character is easily distinguishable and a treat to listen to, especially Poirot. This baffling tale with many characters is well worth this listening experience. The compulsion to discover the truth is motive enough for all.

Excellent!
Kenneth Branagh was really good at narrating this. I enjoyed him in the newest film adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, so I can't wait to see this novel in theatres.

A great listen!
Kenneth Branagh is simply superb. With his voice, each character is made unique and brought to life. There is no need to watch the story on the screen with this kind of performance. Just to listen is rather enough.

Bow down to Kenneth Branagh
Death on the Nile was an absolute delight to hear over audio. Kenneth Branagh uses an assortment of different voices and accents to make the massive amount of characters come to life and feel individual. His voice is even able to animate the social class of certain characters and the moments of pause and dialogue were to perfection. Christie is known for her large use of dialogue and Branagh does her justice. You won't be disappointed with this audiobook, characters and plot that is Death on the Nile

Fabulous
Kenneth Branagh does a superb job of bringing Poirot to life. His talents as an actor are displayed in his ability to do an American accent that not only isn’t grating but is in fact enjoyable. Each character is flawlessly read. I look forward to his reading of the next book to movie to audiobook addition.

Only to be outdone by Mr. Branagh
Excellent story but the reader is what made it so enjoyable! How can one voice show so many different characters? Loved it.
