Declan: I was born into this world. I am what it made me. I do things that others find disgusting. I broke many rules when I met Brooke. She showed up one night, and I took advantage of that. When she kept coming back, I knew there was more to her. One day changed it all. One secret from my past blew our relationship out of the water.

Brooke: Loss was all I knew. It creeps around every corner. One dare. That's all it took. The night I met Declan, I was on the high of my life. I felt safe with him. Little did I know, his secrets were also mine. When his past is revealed, I lose it. The man he claimed to be was a man I'd known all my life.

Contains mature themes.

Love, defeat, heartbreak, loyalty, family an some tears. When an Alpha male shows his soft side and his vulnerability, your heart melts.

The story has a good pace, no dull spots, especially if you're into erotic scenes. However, the story is more on the romantic side than MC mayhem. It's a missing element for me.

Narrators: Both are great. Good interpretation of each of the characters, especially with all the characters they had to cover in each of their chapters.

Intense and firey

Story was good. I liked how consistent Jillian Macey was in her performance. I could have listened to just her telling the story and been happy. Brandon Utah was not so consistent. The male protagonists voice went from country farmer to city boy to rough and grumbly. By the end he worked out his voices so that’s good.
