Lizzie Kent wasn't supposed to babysit the night she was murdered. She was covering for her best friend, Nell. Nell has lived with the guilt ever since.

The story was good, the narration of the characters was only fair. Regarding the female lead Nell,
I felt like I was listening to a sixty plus year old woman instead of a mid thirties woman. It didn’t feel like a natural listen which was sometimes distracting from the actual story.
The story itself I did enjoy even though sometimes I’d have to go back and listen to what I’d missed due to my distraction.
Just an observation/opinion on my part

Overall I liked the book. As others have commented, the narrator wasn’t a great fit and it took away from the story for me. She sounded quite a bit older and to me it came across a bit cheesy at points when it wasn’t meant to be. I liked the main character, the bits of romance, and I stayed interested throughout.
