Pure Joy
Ric Jerrom’s narration of Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey and Maturin series is magnificent, a pure joy and delight to listen to. The characters are brought vividly to life, and the pacing and emotion is pitch-perfect. There may very well be flaws, but I certainly can’t think of any. It’s a triumph of storytelling.

Fantastic adventure.
Another great entry in this series. The cat and mouse game with the Dutch ship and HMS Leopard was thrilling!

A classic on it's own.
This is my favorite book in the series. Desolation Island has everything to keep the reader/listener captivated throughout.
