Publisher's Summary

Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea...

Police Chief Delaney Reed is good at keeping secrets for the beach town of Ordinary Oregon - just ask the vacationing gods or supernatural creatures who live there.

But with the first annual Cake and Skate fundraiser coming up, the only secret Delaney really wants to know is how to stop the unseasonable rain storms. When all the god powers are stolen, a vampire is murdered, and her childhood crush turns out to be keeping deadly secrets of his own, rainy days are the least of her worries.

Hunting a murderer, outsmarting a know-it-all god, and uncovering an ancient vampire’s terrifying past isn’t how she planned to spend her summer. But then again, neither is falling back in love with the one man she should never trust.

Performed by Colleen Delany, Henry Kramer, Karen Novack, Michael Glenn, Richard Rohan, Amanda Forstrom, Chris Genebach, Tia Shearer, Tony Nam, Bruce Alan Rauscher, Nick DePinto, Holly Vagley, Jonathon Church, Paul Reisman, Ren Kasey, Ken Jackson, Dani Stoller, Joe Mallon, Eric Messner, Michael John Casey, Tim Carlin, Steve Wannall, Lise Bruneau, Mort Shelby, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Andy Brownstein, Alejandro Ruiz, David Zitney, Scott McCormick.

Strong Female Lead

The plot premise was promising but romantic storyline lacking considering it took up so much of the book.

Love this series!

So I listened to the first one since it was free but this one was just as good and just as interesting. I was sad that it was only 6 hours long. I wanted to listen to it for a long time, I went to the next book right away. I love the various voices for the charaters, the feeling is great. You can hear the emotions, and the sound effects, definately worth the listen.

Great series!

I like the characters and the voice actors are so good. The story isn’t too romance heavy and has lots of twists and turns.
