About this listen
Surviving a werewolf attack should’ve been the strangest thing to happen to me tonight. But no, the universe had other plans.
Now, I’m stuck dealing with a broodingly hot guy named Wesley St. John—who seems way too comfortable with murder. Definitely a red flag, right?
Wes isn’t just some guy I stumbled upon—he’s a protector, but not the friendly kind. His job is to keep the supernatural world in check, and my ignorance is making things complicated. But here’s the kicker: Wes and his secrets might just be the key to uncovering who I really am.
Because everything I thought I knew? Total lie.
Werewolves are real. And it turns out, I wasn’t born to fall for the most dangerous one of all—I was born to kill him.
This set includes the first 4 books in the bestselling young adult shifter romance series. Packed with swoon-worthy romance, enthralling mystery, and twists that you won’t see coming, Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand is a must-listen for fans of shifters and young adult urban fantasy. Don’t miss this captivating series that will leave you listening long past bedtime!

great story line
Book 1 had me hooked, coming to book 3 I started to find Tara annoying. There was no character development for her, as if she didn't learn from what happens and adapt. Truthfully I loved the story, next up is broken blood.

the main female irritates me spoilers
this mean female lead is absolutely horrible all she does is complains and doesn't respect anyone complains when she isn't told much but yet she's a huge hypocrite because she never tells anyone anything until she's backed into a corner. she also has zero respect for her boyfriend she keeps saying she doesn't have feelings for a guy clearly she does clearly she wants him to have feelings for her but wants to string him along and doesn't respect her boyfriend where he keeps on telling her to distance herself from that guy she's like you don't need to be jealous yet she let the guy kiss her twice and she loves when he touches her she's just a bitch. then she expects everyone to wait on her hand and foot she complains that she has to deal with everything when she keeps on budding her self into every situation she can she won't listen to the elders that have experience. she broke up with her boyfriend and she went and kissed her boyfriend that she gets soon after but then when she sees her ex-boyfriend kiss another girl she starts bawling her eyes out and complains about it yet she already started kissing another guy and the day after she kisses that same guy again but she doesn't want her guy friend to move on when she's the one that broke up with him. it's always all about her she doesn't care about others this book is entertaining in some ways but also very frustrating and most. she expects to be rescued at every point but then never tells anyone her plans and always goes behind everyone's back this main female lead is extremely irritating and extremely high maintenance and extremely condescending.

Blood tells
I listened to this box set and even though it's geared to young audiences I enjoyed it. The
storyine was good but sometimes I just laughed at how I could predict the outcome of certain parts.
This book has everything needed to make a good book. It will make you laugh, cry, gasp, smile and make you want to know what will happen next.
I will listen to book five next! I need to know what happens next!
Follow Tara as she is attacked and finds out she is not even human. She kills a werewolf and gets rescued by Wed and her life changes in an instance.
Her normal life is gone and she is finding out what it means to have Dirty Blood!
I really enjoyed this series!

Frustrated
Overall the series is good. what's frustrating is that the whole series isn't here and leaves you hanging on the fourth book and Audible doesn't have the fifth.

A great series.
Enjoyed it but the narrator kinda irked me with the monotonous voice when she kept repeating; " he said, she said, your cousin said. It made me struggle although I wanted to know how it ended.
interesting little universe. typical teenage love.. wait. Wes is 31? n Tara is 18/19.. did i hear that right??. that's kinda creepy grooming but if you can get past that. The story itself is quite engrossing.

Worst main character ever
Although the basic story line was interesting and could have been developed well, the main character Tara was the worst. I wanted to slap her repeatedly throughout the book and often found myself yelling at her (yes I know she can’t hear me but it made me feel better). Would have stopped listening after the first book it if hadn’t been a purchased set. Will not be looking for the 5th book despite the cliff hanger.

Good start but gets frustrating
This story had a quick start and a lot of potential.
I get really frustrated when the main character/heroine makes really dumb repetitive mistakes. By the end of book 4 I can't call her a heroine, she's more of a catalyst for catastrophe.
With how the fourth book ended I'm not sure I have it in me to go any further into this series.

just okay
this is a YA series. Had I known that I wouldn't have spent the credit - a bit too angsty for me.

A troupe of teenagers fumbling through an adult's world
Despite some very compelling elements, this is a frustrating book series. Certainly intended for a younger audience, I was constantly reminded of my own frustrating late adolescence/young adulthood where roadblocks abounded to funnel me in a predetermined direction. I feel like protagonists in fantasy should be relatable and realistic in order for me to relate and empathize, but there's a limit. This series offered me a story about a painfully average teenager, lacking any significant agency, thrust into a fantasy world where the expected amount of social, psychological, and physical flailing for said average teenager was penned out in detail; complete with a massive cliffhanger ending to compelled the purchase of book 5.
