About this listen
Miki Agrawal has faced patriarchal pushback, fought girl-on-girl hate, ridden the roller coaster of building businesses as a female CEO, and even overcome an attempt to burn her for witchcraft (figuratively).
In order to navigate the complicated - at times maddening - struggles of contemporary femininity, we need an unabashed manifesto for the modern woman that inspires us to move past outrage and take positive steps on the personal, professional, and societal levels.
This manifesto galvanizes us to action in 13 major areas of our lives with as much firepower as possible. These are the credos we live by, the advice we give to friends, the tenets we instill in our companies and peers on a daily basis.
Stories of badass female movers and shakers are shared in this audiobook, too, to give you an extra jolt of "I've got this". It's a whole-body "f--k yes" to your work, your love, your relationships, and your mission - while doing it all authentically, unapologetically, and with full integrity.

Miki is inspirational, but I feel let down
I've been following Miki's story for a while now, and am inspired by her resilancy and amazing business/leadership legacy. Where I found myself disappointed in this book was in the section where Miki speaks about women getting the right to vote. She fails to mention that not all women got the right to vote during the time period mentioned. Initially only white women did. Maybe that was intentionally left out but with so many other details mentioned about the achievements and resilancy of women in general I was super disappointed.
As a person of colour myself I see myself in Miki's story and hope that she and her team can work to not overlook details that bring to light the intersectionality that POC woman face. And that this acts as an opportunity for growth. Thank you for the opportunity to be a fellow disrupter, there are great messages in this book, and up until that point in the book I was 100% here for it all.
