About this listen
Now that Nora has been outed as an underworlder, all she wants to do is lay low, figure out how to hide her fey heritage, and decide if she wants to date any of the men in her life. Unfortunately, fate has other plans.
Just one week after the werewolf fiasco, Terrance is nearly killed by an unknown attacker. He's not the only victim. Fey all around the city are being murdered and with Nora's reputation for solving cases, they're looking to her for help. What choice does she have but to get involved? Not only does being fey make her a target, but the killer went after her troll. He's going to pay for that.
Contains mature themes.

No complaints, held my interest
Good next step to the overall story. I enjoy the development of the characters and their relationships. Not as exciting as the first few, but maybe we've just gotten to know the characters and therefore feel more familiar with them and this world.

Polyamorous? You might like this book.
The story isn’t bad but I won’t be going any further in this series. Definitely not my thing.

It’s okay
Now that she knows what she is and that it’s completely normal for her kind to have a harem, I wish she would embrace it!
She’s building a beautiful clan not all romantic relationship but dear friends, a father like relationship and even a work partner. I love that they represent different communities and bring different strengths to their family.
I wish they would just kill the vampire leader who has assaulted her multiple times!
This book is another who’s done it where our girl is trying to help her kind from a family of hunters.

Disappointing compared to the first one, still ok
I really liked the first book in this series because it showed a real struggle where each character did things to further there own agenda and the main character had to earn her victory, and had real set-backs.
This book on the other hand suffers from a Mary-Sue main character who gets by on raw power, makes poor decisions, but get railroaded through to the ending the author wanted.
Having said that; it's still a decent story and having the main character get their happy ending after being screwed their whole life can be cathartic. I found this book a bit of a guilty pleasure. It just could have been better.
As for Hollie's performance; there are a large number of characters in this book and Hollie gives most of them a unique feel, but a couple of minor ones sound the same as one of the main characters. She does get the emotion behind dialog across very well, but it's sometime hard to tell if a line is a thought or spoken out loud.

Loved her, then I could no longer respect or relate to her
I didn’t even finish it due to the polyamorous direction. It started taking off in. Not judging, but for me loyalty to a significant other is the most important thing in a story. You cannot be loyal to more than one person as your significant other. For example, if all three of them were in equal danger but she could only save one? And there’s no time to flip a coin? see I just don’t believe in it at all. I’ll believe in vampires and sirens before I believe that you can be involved equally with different people.
