About this listen

I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and he was my knight in shining armor. But more accurately, I was a girl with a lot of bad luck, and he was a guy with a lot of muscles and tattoos.

Jude "Lucky" Lucketti wasn't just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero, showing up in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face-planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.

We became friends, and it didn't matter that he was 16 years older than me. We had a lot in common - like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars and our aversion to relationships.

When he approached me with a crazy idea to help me out with my many problems, I couldn't say no.

The arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else. It should've been easy, but it wasn't. Because here I am, 18 years old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

We had just one rule - no kissing the bride. But we broke that rule, and it sealed our fate forever.

Contains mature themes.

Swooooon 😍💕

You have to really dig the age gap trope for this one! I think Jude “ Lucky” is my new favourite book boyfriend 💕 I loved Skylar, too.
As usual, Carian Cole can write age gap and angsty romance like no one else! Her character development and writing style is so good. She writes these beautifully broken main characters so well!
The narrators were perfect 🤩
I had this one in my wish list for months….then suddenly it was free in the plus catalog!! I binged it in a weekend ❤️
Run, don’t walk….it would be worth a credit anyway!!!

A book I can listen to more than once!

This is such a great, beautiful storyline.
It has everything in it without overdoing it in 1 area alone.
A beautiful book of life and true love1 <3

slow and a bit too much of a downer

I can see having a hoarder mom being a key element...or health issues but both is just a bit too much. mental health, physical health. it's just too heavy and covers too much of the story. would have been better if the relationship was more of the focal point. hard to get through because it was a bit cringey.
