What a wild and thrilling ride

Shawn Compton does a spectacular job narrating this tale for Audible, about an early-retired baseball phenom who at 31 owns a small trailer park on the Mexican border, has a father addicted to heroin and in jail for murder...and who receives his former catcher's severed hand in a shoebox on his front porch. This begins a wild and meandering tale that involves Mexican druglords, strip clubs, performance enhancing drugs, and a truckload of murder. A motley crew of characters, and a thrilling story from start to finish. A definite recommendation.
