A Delightful Stroll through Longmeadow
Monty offers a wealth of information to new gardeners, and an engaging review for pros. His narration is relaxing and conversational, and does not lecture. The true delight of "Down to Earth" is how it evokes the feeling of a long walk through Longmeadow with Monty.

Wonderful, whimsical and wise.
What a most pleasing listen during rather unpleasant times. Listening to Monty himself describe vibrant scenes within his own garden is both educational and soothing. I very much recommend purchasing, whether you are an experienced gardener, a novice, or someone simply looking to escape to a lush garden for some time through Monty's delightful and passionate imagery.

Garden with Monty
I can’t imagine a better way to start the gardening season than to get my hands dirty while listening to Monty Don.
While the book is most definitely written for the British garden, I gleaned many tips and tricks that I will put to work in my horticultural adventures.

A good listen.
Really enjoyed Monty Don narrating. Explaining how to garden, what to do with certain types of plants. It helps since I'm wanting to learn more about gardening. Its nice to hear his personal touch on how he does it.
